Solidium’s ownership in Metso Corporation now 10,4 %

Metso Corporation (Metso) has announced today that 98 % of Tamfelt Corp.’s (Tamfelt) shareholders have accepted the exchange offer by Metso and the combination of Metso and Tamfelt will be completed.

Metso announced on November 5, 2009 that it had entered into a Combination Agreement with Tamfelt. At the same time, Metso launched a public tender offer to purchase all of the issued and outstanding shares in and stock options of Tamfelt. The consideration is newly issued Metso shares for the shareholders of Tamfelt and cash for the holders of Tamfelt stock options.

As a result of the Exchange offer, Solidium’s ownership in Metso will decrease from 11,1% to 10,4%. The Board of Directors of Metso has been authorized by the Annual General Meeting held in spring 2009 to decide on the share issue.
