Today, 24 September 2026, the Prime Minister’s Office has announced the funding of the Finnish Government’s investment programme (https://valtioneuvosto.fi/ajankohtaista/tiedotteet). As part of the funding solution of the investment programme, Solidium will transfer Sampo plc’s A shares worth EUR 400 million to the Finnish State by the end of the year. The State will transfer the shares to the State Pension Fund of Finland by the end of the year.

Solidium announced on 23 September 2026 that it had sold Sampo A shares for approximately EUR 630 million. Of this, approximately EUR 500 million will be used to fund the investment programme, including taxes arising from the transfer and sale of shares.

After the share sale on 23 September 2026 and the upcoming share transfer, Solidium will own approximately 2 per cent of all Sampo A shares.
