At the request of the state owner, the Board of Directors of Solidium and CEO Matts Rosenberg have held comprehensive discussions on the implementation of the principles of good governance and personnel policy related to the duties of the CEO in his previous positions of trust.

Earlier this year, during the recruitment of the CEO, the Board conducted a thorough assessment of Matts Rosenberg’s suitability for the position. The Board is not aware of any information that would call into question the conclusions drawn at the time of appointment. The Board has confirmed that Matts enjoys, and continues to enjoy, the confidence of both the Board and the state owner.

“The Board of Solidium has carefully evaluated the situation and engaged in constructive dialogue with the state owner. Matts Rosenberg has the full confidence of the Board of Solidium in his position,” says Jouko Karvinen, Chair of the Board of Solidium.

“The state is represented in certain listed companies through Solidium. The Government Resolution on the State Ownership Policy requires the state-owned companies to adhere uncompromisingly to good governance and ethical conduct. Solidium’s management has confirmed its commitment to these principles,” states Maija Strandberg, Director General of the Ownership Steering Department at the Prime Minister’s Office.

“Solidium’s mission is to strengthen and stabilise domestic ownership in nationally significant companies and to increase the long-term financial value of its holdings. I am strongly committed to the operating principles required by this mission,” says Matts Rosenberg, CEO of Solidium.
